Bormio heeft met zijn nauwe steegjes, oude geplaveide straten, prachtige fa\u00e7ades en echte Italiaanse pizza’s een riant stadscentrum en is in de streek Alta Valtellina \u00e9\u00e9n van de charmantste wintersportplaatsen van Itali\u00eb. Vooral het Piazza Cavour is in weekeinden en tijdens vakanties erg gezellig. Bovendien zijn de culinair hoogstaande restaurants ook op de pistes aanwezig. Deze zijn overwegend erg moeilijk. Hoe raar het ook mag klinken: zelfs de blauwe pistes zijn nog best pittig. De landstreek is dus eerder adequaat voor de volleerde carvers. Bovendien bieden de lange rode pistes een adembenemend uitzicht op de bergstreek. Bormio staat ook bekend voor zijn thermische baden en vele andere kuuroordfaciliteiten.
